Why: Ronson, the modern music eras Phil Spector (presumably without the guns) and possibly the finest record producer of his generation revisits the early ’80’s R&B soul/funk of his New York childhood on the LP “Uptown Special”. This eclectic mix features an unlikely cast of characters including Mystikal channelling badass 1970’s era James Brown on the standout “Feel Right”, Aussie psych rockers Tame Impala and legendary Motown Records stalwart Stevie Wonder who kicks off the album jamming his one and only trademark harmonica vibe.
